The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is a social democratic political party founded by Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings (Rtd), who was Head of State of Ghana from 1981 to 1993 and the President of Ghana from 1993 to 2001. The NDC is a member of the Progressive Alliance and the Socialist International Organization, which all seek to establish democratic socialism, in which the means of production are socially and collectively owned or controlled by the masses, which guarantees equality and the egalitarian treatment of all persons with respect to their social, cultural, educational, political, religious and economic background.

The symbol of the NDC is an umbrella with the head of a dove at the tip and the party colors are red, white, green, and black, while its slogan or motto is "Unity, Stability, and Development.". The NDC has been at the forefront of Ghana's infrastructural, economic, social and cultural development over the years and is seeking to come back on 7th January, 2025, to continue this laudable stride and to achieve this objective, party delegates overwhelmingly endorsed former president John Dramani Mahama as its presidential flagbearer, to lead the party to victory come December 7th, 2024.

The achievements of former president John Dramani Mahana is evident for everybody to see, his tenure saw some of the most massive investments in the road sector in the history of the country. massive intra-city and inter-city roads projects. Modern hospitals and health facilities dotted across the length and breadth of the country with a large number of health professionals trained under his administration, to improve the healthcare delivery system of the country. Educational institutions known as E-Blocks are his hallmarks, these E-Blocks can be found in every part of the country. We want John Dramani Mahama to come back and continue with his good works and put the nation back on the track of greatness and development, Africa needs leaders that are people and development oriented, leaders that are inclusive in their approach and not leaders that favors a particular demograhic. Let us give John Dramani Mahama another chance, he will deliver.
